MY THOUGHTS

I was looking on the list for upcoming New Adult books in Goodreads. I was so frustrated that I’m missing out a lot with the world of fiction. Though, I could never complain because I have a job that helps me pay the bills and even supports my excessive obsession on books.

When I was browsing the list, I found a lot but I cannot purchase them all- I cannot afford every single new release book. I really needed to make a decision. After the gazillion years of indecision and insecurities, I came up with ten books to devour. And that includes Choosing You by Allie Everhart.
This is actually my very first Everhart book. I am not really familiar with the name or even the book itself. Thanks to Goodreads and the millions of booklovers out there! Without you, I wouldn’t even have the chance to experience how amazing this book is!

And so, this is a story of Jade, a girl who was good, straight-laced, and swore off to vices at a young age. After her alcoholic mother’s death, she put up a wall around her, focusing on her studies. With her childhood best friend, Ryan, she made it through high school and graduated as valedictorian. Ryan and his father, Frank, took care of her after her mom’s death. They became her rock going through life. Even if they have none, they made it through- Ryan in med school, Jade as freshman in college.

With the help of Kensington Scholarship, she now has the chance to get through college. This was the first time that she would be away from home but she’s not bothered anyway. First-day jitters, unfamiliar faces, she was not even mortified by the idea. Not until a super-hot amazingly sexy boy knocked on her door. And the gorgeous hottie had a name- Garret! And guess what happened next? Oh keep guessing! Ha!

I really don’t want to talk about how the book went because it is obvious, I liked it. I know that I am kinda busy these days, with work and sleep. A girl gotta sleep ya know! Well, anyway, I still found it hard to put the book down. Okay, I was actually reading in my e-reader, but who cares, right?

Garret made my reading so much fun. He’s like a candy on a stick, ready to be licked. Oh my god! Did I just say that?! Never mind! I know I’m older than him, that if he’s not fictional, but I was really attracted to his character and how it was developed. Crap. Every perfect creature is fictitious! For the love of Mary Shaw!  Going back, he is the hero in our story but there was a point in this book that I wanted to throw my reader away and stopped remembering the story. But that’s the trick of reading a book right? If a book doesn’t have that element, it would be super boring. Though, this one was just right for my taste. Okay, Garret was the perfect gentleman. Like every other young man in that age, I can understand his playfulness and cravings for alcohol and girls. It’s normal, correct? One thing that keeps on bugging me is that, why on Earth would he follow his bastard father if he never treated him right. I know, I know, he’s still his father but you know… Enough with the mumbling! He was a perfect support for our main character. Though the book didn’t give the side of Garret’s mind, the author created a clear picture of what was happening and what was supposed to happen. I couldn’t say more about the characterization.

Now, let’s go to Jade, the main character, the heroine of the story. I’m thinking that I, somehow, relate to her. With the books over boys’ attitude, and I-don’t-care-about-the-world state of mind, I knew then that I would love her. And I did. There was something about her that made me wanna kick some ass when if I plan on going out the house and be a bad girl. I cannot tell more about her. She’s just too perfect. Haha.

Anyway, when it comes to writing, I love the fact that Alli made the story fresh even if there are hundreds of new adult novels in this genre. I mean, the hero or the heroine is broken, with a not so good past, or a broken family. I was kinda nervous and afraid of the story because I have read so much about a girl hiding something in the closet and then I never finished reading the story because I already knew what’ll happen. However, this book gave me the thrill because there was an additional back story that spiced up my entire reading. I don’t want to spoil on you on that one so I prefer you read this book. Hahaha. (Mood kill?!)

Every situation was addicting, making me hold on to the story. The moments between the characters were really believable. Though, Garrett is not real. He is not real. I want him to be real. *sobs

The revelation at the end was not so explosive to me. The only thing that could hinder me from giving perfect rating would be the fact that the biggest question was not answered. What happened to the past? Who victimized whom? Where did the letter come from? Why did it happen? The story lacks establishment but for me I think it somehow sufficed. And what’s the point of having the second book published if the answers were found in the first right?

Would I recommend this book to the readers?

Duh?! Definitely!

And I’m giving the book five shining stars. I was going to rate it with four and a half… I thought about it. This debut novel of Allie deserves perfect rating! Hurray! I almost choke myself to death after reading this. I hope Ms. Alli could read this because she deserves all the praise for this fiction. *round of applause
I just want you to know, Ms. Alli, that you made my reading experience worthwhile. I cannot wait for the sequel. I wish I could have the second installment right now. As in NOW. *fingers crossed

We’re all lovely,
---A.

MY THOUGHTS

This is a story of love, trust and betrayal.

If you are looking for a happy ever after, expect but don't expect. Make sure you are mentally stable before you read this book!

I received a copy of this book thru mail (tech is awesome!) . I am really grateful that Miss Kelly Harper- yes , the   amazing author of this book  , asked me to make an honest review. I was literally rolling on the floor when I received the  message . This is one hell of an opportunity and I am never gonna let it slip away!

Honestly, I was having second thoughts about this book. Why? I have reasons. Number one ; it is a New Adult novel - I was trying to chill out and take a break on NA . Two, the plot is the same like any other na novel-  the heroine/hero is damaged goods or hiding skeletons in the closet. Three , I was afraid that someone needs rescuing again.

Then, I began reading. I was intrigued. And I was soooo wrong.

The first part of the read was kinda slow to me. I felt like someone was dragging me   to get through the end. The storyline kinda  not worked for me. I was looking for something, like the magic, the chemistry,  the harmony of the scenes. The writing was incredible but the story itself didn't work that good for me.

Seeing the world through Maggie's eyes was a compelling and thrilling ride, though.  I got to experience her heartache, pain, happiness, love and confusion.  Though, her reaction toward the situation, to me, was a little bit over the top. I mean, I thought she had a really sordid, life-threatening past that it had affected her trust issues too much.  And there were scenes/situations that were too drawn out for me. I had to skip some pages so I could go on through my read. It took me a week to finish this book. To say that I was kinda bored and sleepy upon reading this book is an exaggeration though. Even if I dragged myself through it, I liked the story.

And then the super hot sexy smoldering Haden came along...

He changed everything that I felt about this book (who would not!).  He's too damn perfect. He's one of the fictional characters that ruined all other existing male specie in the entire universe!

The end was really unexpected! Seriously, it was a massive explosion to me! You better read this one!

four amazing guitars for you, Kelly!

I am definitely recommending this book to everyone!

Picture Perfect by Ella Fox; A Review

Picture Perfect by Ella Fox

Book One of the Renegade Saints
Series
ebook, 234 pages
Published March 10th 2013 by
Smashwords

SYNOPSIS:

as the lead singer of one of the
world’s most famous bands.

a player, he’s decided that it’s
time to find something real.
One look at a photo of Tessa
Hamilton had him hooked.
Tessa’s teenage celebrity crush
was Flynn Rand. Now he was
offering her the professional
opportunity of a lifetime, a job

the Renegade Saints farewell

teenage attraction to Flynn
wouldn’t hold up when she met
him in person, Tessa took the
job.
The chemistry between them is
immediate and powerful, but
Tessa is hesitant to explore their
connection.
Flynn has no intention of giving
up, and he intends to prove to
her that they are meant to be
together.
Can Flynn convince Tessa that
their attraction to each other is
the real thing?

MY THOUGHTS

Picture Perfect by Ella Fox is one hell of a read.

The story is about a Photographer, named Tessa, who is beginning to climb the road to success, and a famous rockstar- Flynn Rand, who is devilishly handsome and smoldering hot. A story of trust, music and unforgettable love.

Honestly, I picked this novel and ordered on Amazon because 1) it's ans Ella Fox book and 2) the title has been overused these days that I want to experience different stories of the same title. I liked the plot of the story, though it features another rock star. Flynn's difference to the other book rockstars? He's already on the peak of his career, rich, hot and bored.

I liked the idea that Flynn is more human than any BFFs that I have. He's not pretentious, or maybe a little. And he's getting tires of the fame and stardom. Plus points to you, Rand! :D

When I turned to read the book, I was damned. Man, t'was written in Flynn's POV. Did I mention that I have a soft spot in books with the hero's pov? And I loved Ella Fox more with that. :)

I won't say much about the story because I never want to spoil the readers- those who haven't read the book. So, I'll just blabber on the technicalities and generalities of the novel.

The first chapter kept me reading. As I said, it's Flynn's voice. The next chapter, in Tessa's.

I had a head start. I thought the story was good. I didn't have the urge to put it down or skip reading. It kept me going.

Sad to say, when I reached 20% of this read, it got annoying. Don't get me wrong. I liked it but really not into it. Tessa and Flynn's relationship was a roller coaster. Okay, I really need to tell you this. Flynn's in his late twenties (correct me if Im wrong). But the way his story is written? Hmmm, it was like reading inside a head of a sixteen-year old lovestruck girl. It was really, I mean, really really irritating. What's worse? Tessa's voice was much more musculine than Flynn's.

I loved The Hart Series by Ella Fox. I loved every book. I have everything she has written. But this one, Picture Perfect is poorly written. The chemistry between Tessa and Flynn was kinda forced to me. I even skipped pages because I couldn't force myself tp get through so much torture.

Their relationship? And the sex? Way too overkill. I didn't like it. It was so disappointing. :( Not that I didn't enjoy it, but their relationship was so mushy I couldn't take it. Fine, Flynn Rand was too much.

The cheesy part? Hmmm, he's related to the Hart family. Overkill, again.

I'm sorry. I'm sorry if this review might appear mean. But this is an honest review. Sooooo...

Though I didn't like it too much, I still finished it- that means something. This is still a read, not an experience though.

With that, I'm giving Picture Perfect by Ella Fox three and a half shining stars! ***- :)))

I recommend it to readers who are interested to steamy romance. Dude, this book is hot! Genuinely!

Tell me what you think! Recommend something to me. :)

MUSIC MONDAY: Radioactive by Imagine Dragons

For the very first time, this blog features songs and artists in which most of the authors get their inspirations to. Some are used as soundtracks in film adaptations. Some are on the track list of our favorite novels.

So, for starters, the song of the week is..... *drum roll please

RADIOACTIVE by Imagine Dragons!

Title: RADIOACTIVE
Artist: IMAGINE DRAGONS
Released: October 29, 2012
Writer: Imagine Dragons
Producer: Alex Da Kid

This song was used in the movie adaptation of the sci-fi novel, The Host by Stephenie Meyer which was released on March 29, 2013 worldwide. It was also used heavily in the promotions for the video game Assassin's Creed III. Musically, 'Radioactive' is an indie rock song with elements of electronic rock and dubstep while containing cryptic lyrics of apocalyptic and revolutionist themes. The song received acclaim from critics who praised the production, lyrics, and vocals, with some calling it the best song on the album. (wikipedia)

I first heard this song on the first full trailer for The Host. Right there, then, it's on repeat in my music player. The song is soooo addicting, like I couldn't stop myself from singing along- which is actually, me, screaming and shouting the lyrics of the song. There, then, I decided to download the whole album of Imagine Dragons.  The music genre is not exactly a new to me since I've been listening to different styles of music.  My first thought upon hearing the song  was , "Fudge! I love this band!" And I am undone.

Watch the Video Here ---> radioactive

Lyrics

I'm waking up to ash and dust
I wipe my brow and I sweat my rust
I'm breathing in the chemicals

I'm breaking in, shaping up, then checking out on the prison bus
This is it, the apocalypse
Whoa

I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my systems blow
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm radioactive, radioactive
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm radioactive, radioactive

I raise my flags, don my clothes
It's a revolution, I suppose
We're painted red to fit right in
Whoa

I'm breaking in, shaping up, then checking out on the prison bus
This is it, the apocalypse
Whoa

I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my systems blow
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm radioactive, radioactive
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm radioactive, radioactive

All systems go, the sun hasn't died
Deep in my bones, straight from inside

I'm waking up, I feel it in my bones
Enough to make my systems blow
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Welcome to the new age, to the new age
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm radioactive, radioactive
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm radioactive, radioactive

Falling Into You by Jasinda Wilder; A Review

Falling Into You
by Jasinda Wilder
Published: March 16th

SYNOPSIS:

I wasn't always in love with
Colton Calloway; I was in love
with his younger brother, Kyle,
first. Kyle was my first one true
love, my first in every way.
Then, one stormy August night,
he died, and the person I was
died with him.
Colton didn't teach me how to
live. He didn't heal the pain. He
didn't make it okay. He taught
me how to hurt, how to not be
okay, and, eventually, how to let
go.

MY THOUGHTS

This is the very first Wilder book that I read. I regret nothing!

If you're in love, this book is for you.
If you're happy, shut it. This will make turn you into an ugly mess!

A story of falling in love...
Heartbreak...
Letting go...
And falling in love again.

Reminder:
You have to prepare lots of tissues and water on your bedside table.

To be honest, I thought this was another "against all odds" new adult novel. The literary genre, nowadays, has been dominated by fairytale love stories and rock n roll swoon worthy guys. I never thought this would affect me so much, like hell!

When I started reading the book, I didn't even read the synopsis. I just picked this as recommended by a friend in Goodreads. I was hesitant but after reading the first few pages, I couldn't get away. I didn't want to put this down! Duh, how could I? There's a damn hot guy here named Kyle! He's just... Perfect! Hell yeah! Really perfect!

The beginning was a so-so to me. But as I turned pages, the development of the story was really catching. The characters were well-defined. The situation- building made want to stop what I was doing and continue devouring the book.

The storyteller, Nell, was a strong character to me. She knew what she wanted and not afraid to go for it. Nice girl! Though, I felt that there's a lot of similarities between her and the other girl characters in the field of NA literature. But that doesn't mean I'll stop loving the book!

Okay, I don't even want to talk about the story anymore. I've been dreading this one. I kept stalling because this novel is a shit! Yeah dude! The story was too good that it brought out torrents of emotions from yours truly. Honestly, I am the kind of reader who doesn't let anything get under my skin. I was on trauma after reading The Fault in Our Stars by John Green and Before I die by Jenny Downham. FIY by Jasinda wrecked me. I am soooo numb. Or, I wanted to be.

What am I talking about? Oh,man. Just read the book and you'll see!

This book made me fall in love. This book made me a mess.

I kept on weeping when the story came to that turning point. As much as I wanted to finish the story, I couldn't because my vision was blurry with tears. I sobbed. I hiccupped. I cried. Worse? I wasn't even halfway through it! I couldn't stand the idea of losing someone who mean the world to me. It was a torture for me to get back into reading. Every now and then,I grabbed my hanky and wiped the stupid tears. I thought I was going to break!

As I went through, I got attached to Nell. Felt her pain. Felt the sorrow. Heard her silent grieving. It was so beautiful that I could see the scenes in my head.

Then, came Colton. I liked him. But not as much as I loved Kyle.

Jasinda succeeded in defining her characters. The differences and similarities were clearly defined, in whom we all could relate to. The structure of the sentences was good. The reading experience was too dramatic that I had a clear picture of how it would become in the big screen. It was like watching a movie. Seriously.

And...

Lots of hotness overload! *fanning myself

Until the last pages of the story, surprises kept on slapping me in the face. Revelations. Drama. Love. All in.

Jasinda combined all the elements in writing and voila! A masterpiece she has created! Without a doubt, I will keep on reading her works. I am Wilder's fan now! Wounded is on my TBR list, just so you know. :)

Am I recommending this?

YES! Absolutely. Just remember to take a hanky with you and iced cold water. Maybe a cold shower after? :)

With this, I'm giving Falling into You 5 out of 5 shining stars!

*i moved on, okay? -sobs

Maybe, not.

A Review: Reckless by S.C Stephens

Reckless (Thoughtless, #3)

RECKLESS BY SC STEPHENS (Thoughtless #3)

Can love survive when life gets Reckless?

When the band hits it big, Kiera and Kellan must ask themselves: Can their love for each other survive the constant pressures of superstardom? The friendships they've formed, the new family they've found, and the history they've forged will all play a part in helping them navigate the turbulent waters of the band's exploding popularity. A greedy executive hell-bent on success, a declining pop star looking for an edge, and a media circus that twists lies into truths are just some of the obstacles the lovers will have to overcome if they are going to remain together. Fame comes with a price-but will it cost Kiera and Kellan everything?

MY THOUGHTS

how i look right now!

*THIS REVIEW IS SPOILER-FREE! ENJOY

Before I read a book, I really don't care about reviews and all. I just read the synopsis and when it caught my interest, bam! That is the book for me.

Reckless concludes the Thoughtless trilogy by SC Stephens. I loved the first two books and with that, I couldnt wait to put my paws on this one. While I was waiting for the release, I tried reading reviews from Advanced Readers. I regretted doing that! Swear!

Speculations on how the story would end made me so darn miserable. I was so close on destroying my computer because my heart was breaking. Breaking. Breaking. I even saw spoilers! Man, I hate spoilers! Though I kept on reading  them because I am natural born masochist. Hah!

After like gazillion years of waiting, my copy aarrived.my fangirl heart went asdfghjkl upon receiving my e-copy. I was kinda nervous for SC Stephens because there were hundreds of fans out there waiting of what would happen to Kellan and Kiera. Effortless ended really good so I was hoping Reckless is not a disappointment. I REGRET NOTHING! This book has a lot of twists and turns. I loved how the author didnt rush the story.

The beginning was perfect. It was a good mood setter for the readers. Though I really wanted to kill Joey at that moment. The first part also reminded me the importance of family. When Gavin, Kellan's father visited the newly weds (not technically) my heart almost melted. -sigh

Then the  tour began so as the storm. I couldnt say more with the conflict of this so darn good story. Its too perfect! The characters' evolution is evident. I loved how Kiera's telling the story influenced the readers. She has a different view of her world which is very inspiring. Kellan's vulnerability became his strong point. Griffin also changed so as Anna. Oh they really are aa cute couple! And there was Denny, who I thought is still in love with Kiera. But I was wrong. Another lesson learned, Ex-lovers can still be friends. ;)

Of course, steamy scenes made me hyperventilate. But I loved that this book is not all about sex. :) Thumbs up!

This book is about love and lost. It also reminds me that family plays a vital role in our lives. And when I say Family, they might be our friends, brothers, sisters and anyone who are not afraid to open up for us.

Kiera and Kellan's story will remain forever in my heart. I learned a lot from it! Seriously!

No matter how big or small our mistakes are, we still have a chance to make them right.

If we truly love someone, we also learned to open our hearts to fully accept who they are, even with their deepest flaws.

We should learn to let go and move on.

Forgive and forget.

I learned that from Kiera and Kellan ;)))

I am definitely recommending the trilogy to all the readers out there. This is romance, comedy(?griffin), inspirational, written in one!

5 out of 5 stars for Reckless!

TODAY IS WORLD BOOK DAY!

 Hello guys!

I'm back, again. Haha.

I only checked my blog because it's World Book Day! Yeheeeey!

Sorry  cause I'm still busy with thesis and all. I am graduating so I really can't handle things well. Hmmm, I want to tell you that I'm coming back to blogging after I accomplish all the requirements before graduation. So, you better watch out cause am gonna flood your dash with my blabbers! :)

As part of my "New-Life Campaign" and in line with the celebration of World Book Day, I am cleaning my shelves and donating some books to the public library. To other people, it might not seem like a big deal but for us, book lovers, it is BIG.

Since most of the children the public library sheltered don't have Kindle or E-reading devices, I'm a little sad because I can't even share them copies of ebooks that I have. I've been a beta-reader ever since technology allowed it. That's the reason why I am not really buying books in paperbacks or hard covers these days. i really feel sorry for myself because I can't even lend them my one and only reading device. I don't have much resources either. Anyway, my donating of books will continue until forever. :)

The Soloist

I bite the tip of my lonely pen so hard
from the rage of the dying of the night
My blood is a swift angry river
   coursing through me veins
My eyes are two pools of black and blind
with the words so difficult to find.

One soft sound
   everything disappears;
the wild tapping of the wind by the window
the hallelujah of the band on the stereo
and even the furious hollering of the wolves
Comforting lies louder than any truth
Promises made vanished when they stole my youth.

I scream but no one seems to hear.
I stand but no one is even looking at me.
I run but no one seems to mind.
I cry but no one really cares.
For  in this life, we only walk alone.
Fallacies, deception, indifference built our homes.

Guest Post: Review of EVERY DAY by David Levithan

This is my first time to host a blog event, ever. I am really really glad to host such activity since there are so much to share out there.

My very first blog activity is an event in which any blogger/internet buff, bookworm, analyzer, a simple reader or even an ordinary person has the privilege to share thoughts about a book read. I am a girl who happens to have friends who share the same interest in books. In every book that we read, we share ideas and daydream on every fictitious character. And so, a concept of blog guesting came into my very eager mind. Every week, I am introducing new reviewers. It doesn't matter who, or what the person does in his/her life, as long as the passion for books radiates within that person. For two months, this blog will feature book reviewers and critics. They might also give us book recommendations. So watch out! :)

For my first guest, I welcome MS. ALTHEA CAHAYAG with her review of Every Day by David Levithan.

*contains spoilers*

This is Every day by David Levithan. I just finished reading this yesterday? Yes. Yesterday. I was fascinated by its plot. The “Every day a different body. Every day a different life. Every day in love with the same girl.” Yep! I am not into the Every day in love with the same girl thing though I felt that it was it all about. I was able to know it because of a classmate who was having a hard time looking for it. I’m this “internet freak” and decided to help her, though I haven’t told her that I am looking for it. When I succeeded, I messaged her and, surprise! surprise! You have the book you are looking for.
I was the first one to have it but I am the last to read it. Loser!

So, here is/are my thing/s about the book.

   It was slow.

The pacing was a little slow for me. Yes, given the fact that it is a novel, so it can count that the situations can be slow and be detailed but, I wasn’t into it. It’s like, “Okay, so?” That’s my main problem while I was reading it. I understand that it has to be established - that every day, A, the main character, transfers from one body to another. But still, for me, it seems like, it had too many ‘examples’ on establishing it. But the thing with the struggling of mind, body and soul, well yeah, it was good. It was established.

Loopholes

What happen to the souls of the body A takes? Where do they go? Do they just sleep? Like, they stay inside and they are just like sleeping then A’s the one who’s awake? Where? Do they go somewhere? What happens to them?

How can it be done? The process on how the ‘things’ like A, stay in one body FOREVER??? It wasn’t mentioned. It was mentioned that it is possible to happen but how???

Lastly, I know it’s an open-ended story. And that’s one thing with reading materials. They let readers do the next details. The next events. Whatever they want things to be. The author does not give everything. But yeah. What happened to Rhiannon and Alexander (hope I named him right)?

At the end. I want to say that A’s stupid and selfish. He could have a happy ending. They could have a happy ending — A and Rhiannon. But he didn’t do it. Well, partially stupid, partially not. Because it is selfishness, too, to ruin a life for his own sake or happiness. The body he will take over. He was selfish because like what Rhiannon said when A was in Vic’s body. What if Vic and his date has something very important for Vic to do? And A was with Rhiannon. What if because of just a day, everything gets messed up in Vic’s life because of A?

And A’s selfish for saying like, Rhiannon has to be with Alexander — the last body A was in. It seemed like, he was saying that Alexander is a good guy and they should end up together. Yes, spoiler. Did he even ask if Rhiannon wants things to be that way? A hurt Rhiannon. A has hurt itself (let me call A an it since A doesn’t even know if A’s a he or a she). So maybe, I call it quits.
So this is a lame review. And to David Levithan’s fans, please, do not be angry at me. Just expressing.

Imagine Dragons - It's Time

This is currently my favorite song. It's been playing on the background for like forever. HA! I fell in love with Imagine Dragons since Radioactive and now, I can't get enough of them. This is the lyrics of the song. I hope you can feel the way I do right now. :)

So this is what you meant
When you said that you were spent
And now it's time to build from the bottom of the pit
Right to the top
Don't hold back
Packing my bags and giving the academy a rain check

I don't ever wanna let you down
I don't ever wanna leave this town
'Cause after all
This city never sleeps at night

It's time to begin, isn't it?
I get a little bit bigger, but then I'll admit
I'm just the same as I was
Now don't you understand
That I'm never changing who I am

So this is where you fell
And I am left to sail
The path to heaven runs through miles of clouded hell
Right to the top
Don't look back
Turning the rags and giving the commodities a rain check

I don't ever wanna let you down
I don't ever wanna leave this town
'Cause after all
This city never sleeps at night

It's time to begin, isn't it?
I get a little bit bigger but then I'll admit
I'm just the same as I was
Now don't you understand
That I'm never changing who I am

It's time to begin, isn't it?
I get a little bit bigger, but then I'll admit
I'm just the same as I was
Now don't you understand
That I'm never changing who I am

This road never looked so lonely
This house doesn't burn down slowly
To ashes, to ashes

It's time to begin, isn't it?
I get a little bit bigger, but then I'll admit
I'm just the same as I was
Now don't you understand
That I'm never changing who I am

It's time to begin, isn't it?
I get a little bit bigger, but then I'll admit
I'm just the same as I was
Now don't you understand
That I'm never changing who I am

THROUGH THE EVER NIGHT by VERONICA ROSSI

It's been months since Aria last saw Perry. Months since Perry was named Blood Lord of the Tides, and Aria was charged with an impossible mission. Now, finally, they are about to be reunited. But their reunion is far from perfect. The Tides don't take kindly to Aria, a former Dweller. And with the worsening Aether storms threatening the tribe's precarious existence, Aria begins to fear that leaving Perry behind might be the only way to save them both.

Threatened by false friends, hidden enemies, and powerful temptations, Aria and Perry wonder, Can their love survive through the ever night?

In this second book in her spellbinding Under the Never Sky trilogy, Veronica Rossi combines fantasy and dystopian elements to create a captivating love story as perilous as it is unforgettable. (Source: Goodreads)

Smexy Books for Your Nights

Fifty Shades of Grey has taken the world by storm. Not in my lifetime that an adult read could make a big break like the trilogy Author E.L James created. In the first week of released, the book has already garnered a huge fanbase all over the pacific. The first, titled Fifty Shades of Grey, was released as an e-book and a print-on-demand paperback in May 2011 by The Writers' Coffee Shop, a virtual publisher based in Australia. The second volume, Fifty Shades Darker, was released in September 2011; and, the third, Fifty Shades Freed, followed in January 2012. The Writers' Coffee Shop had a restricted marketing budget and relied largely on book blogs for early publicity, but sales of the novel were boosted by word-of-mouth recommendation.

The books' perceived demographic readers are mostly moms and young women. Without a doubt, the trilogy opened another door for Literature liberalism. Although the book was first known as fanfic of the international best-seller Twilight Saga, they are worlds apart.

With this literary breakthrough, many erotic novels are continually trying to surpass the incredibly huge sales of Fifty Shades of Grey. As part of the swiftly rising fame of books that features BDSM or erotic novels, readers are looking for more reads other than Fifty Shades trilogy.

My opinion?

I'd like to apologize here right now. As much as I want to make a review of the trilogy, I am currently behind schedule of more important stuff so...

I liked the trilogy but it isn't a piece-of-the-art when it comes to technicalities. I DON'T WANT TO RAMBLE MORE. Since E.L James is really not a seasoned writer, the trilogy gained a lot of critics as much as its fans.

With this, I am recommending HOT READS FOR YOU. GREAT WRITING. GOOD STORY. UNFORGETTABLE CHARACTERS.

1. CROSSFIRE SERIES by Sylvia Day

2. THOUGHTLESS Trilogy by S.C Stephens

3. BEAUTIFUL DISASTER by Jamie McGuire

4. THIS MAN by Jodi Ellen Malpas

5. STRANGERS by Barbara Elsborg

6. ON DUBLIN STREET by Samantha Young

7. THE PROPOSITION by Katie Ashley

8. GABRIEL'S INFERNO Trilogy by Sylvain Reynard

9.  MARRIAGE TO A BILLIONAIRE SERIES by Jennifer Probst

10. FBI/US ATTORNEY Series by Julie James

11. FALLEN TOO FAR by Abbi Glines

12. FADE by Kate Dawes
